Via the Managing Director <strong>Jason Higgins<\/strong>, the company also kindly provided \u00a3100 to match fund our main prize, the Google Nexus 7 tablet:\u00a0<a title=\"Harmony Internet's online portfolio.\" href=\"http:\/\/www.harmony.co.uk\/discover\/\" target=\"_blank\">portfolio<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li><strong><a title=\"Siegeworks web site.\" href=\"http:\/\/www.siegeworks.co.uk\/\" target=\"_blank\">Siegeworks<\/a> <\/strong>and <strong>Earthware Ltd<\/strong> jointly gave permission to reproduce in our publicity the only two 3D models for Letchworth that appeared in Google Earth before this competition.<\/li>\n<li>Also we thank\u00a0<strong>Chris Jackson <\/strong>of <strong>Siegeworks<\/strong> for creating our graphic artwork, setting up and updating our\u00a0<a title=\"3D_lgc's FaceBook site.\" href=\"http:\/\/www.facebook.com\/3dLgc\" target=\"_blank\">FaceBook site<\/a> and donating a\u00a0<strong><a title=\"SiegeWorks shop c\/o Redbubble: T-shirts.\" href=\"http:\/\/www.redbubble.com\/shop\/featured+t-shirts\" target=\"_blank\">custom T-shirt<\/a><\/strong> voucher worth about <strong>\u00a335<\/strong> as a prize.<\/li>\n<li><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.nhc.ac.uk\">North Hertfordshire College<\/a><\/strong> hosted our launch with the &#8216;hands on&#8217; SketchUp training sessions and further\u00a0training sessions in\u00a0<a title=\"Learning to use SketchUp\" href=\"https:\/\/competition.letchworthfestival.org\/?page_id=35\" target=\"_blank\">October<\/a>.\u00a0These were led by <strong>Chris Jackson<\/strong> of <strong>Siegeworks<\/strong> using the excellent computer facilities of the <strong>Goldsmith Centre for Business<\/strong>. The College also funded our events management \u00a0(below).<\/li>\n<li><strong><a title=\"Invite Creative - web page.\" href=\"http:\/\/www.nhc.ac.uk\/News\/NewsItem.aspx?id=34\" target=\"_blank\">Invite Creative Events Management<\/a><\/strong> c\/o <strong>Francesca (Frankie) Oliver<\/strong>, who stepped in at short notice to boost the quality of our Finale Awards event. This intervention enabled us to switch venues efficiently.<\/li>\n<li><strong><a title=\"Serif Europe Ltd.'s web site - Company page.\" href=\"http:\/\/www.serif.com\/Company\/\" target=\"_blank\">Serif Europe Ltd<\/a><\/strong> is a Nottingham-based online retailer of software including advanced graphics tools. The company donated\u00a0the latest version of their advanced graphics product:\u00a0<strong><a title=\"Serif DrawPlus X5.\" href=\"http:\/\/www.serif.com\/drawplus\/\" target=\"_blank\">DrawPlus X5<\/a>, <\/strong>worth <strong>over \u00a380<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Also sourced from Serif, we are adding a special prize of NufSoft&#8217;s\u00a0<strong><a title=\"Video, 1 min. 17 secs. about nufsoft's 'Nature Illusion Studio Professional'\" href=\"http:\/\/www.serif.com\/emails\/videos\/nature-illusion-studio\/?mc=NIPu100\" target=\"_blank\">Nature Illusion Studio Professional<\/a><\/strong> worth <strong>over \u00a325<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li><strong><a title=\"Letchworth Garden City Society\" href=\"http:\/\/lgcs.org.uk\/\" target=\"_blank\">Letchworth Garden City Society<\/a> <\/strong>is\u00a0sponsoring a <strong> \u00a350 <\/strong><strong>cash prize<\/strong> for an award on any Garden City theme (civic amenity, founding principles, history, Arts &amp; Crafts, heritage conservation etc.). A recorded or interactive \u201cwalking trail\u201d, \u201cvirtual tour\u201d or &#8220;fly-through&#8221; animation would also be highly suitable for the award<em> <strong> <\/strong>\u2212 <\/em><em>see our\u00a0<a title=\"Blog\" href=\"https:\/\/competition.letchworthfestival.org\/?page_id=11\" target=\"_blank\">Blog<\/a> entry on 31 May 2012.<\/em><\/li>\n<li><strong><a title=\"Transition Town Letchworth\" href=\"http:\/\/www.ttletchworth.org\/\" target=\"_blank\">Transition Town Letchworth<\/a><\/strong> is sponsoring a <strong>\u00a325 <\/strong><strong>cash prize<\/strong> for an award on the theme of &#8220;The Bright Future&#8221; such as &#8220;the best eco-retrofit&#8221; of an existing structure. That is to recognise the difficulties of making existing premises and their usage ecologically sound (sustainable), especially in civic conservation areas.<\/li>\n<li>From the outset of this project,\u00a0<strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.letchworthfestival.org\">Letchworth Festival\u00a0Group<\/a><\/strong> adopted and publicised our launch as a Festival event. We thank\u00a0<strong>Ann Pegrum<\/strong> for providing essential advice, guidance and practical effort on the project&#8217;s behalf. We also thank\u00a0<strong>Matt Heaton<\/strong> for setting up our web site\u00a0and providing ongoing technical support.<\/li>\n<li><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.letchwortharts.org\">Letchworth Arts Centre<\/a><\/strong> (<a href=\"http:\/\/tour.letchwortharts.org\/tour.html\" target=\"_blank\">virtual tour<\/a>) &#8211; especially <strong>Maria Iredale<\/strong> and <strong>David Walker<\/strong> &#8211; have hosted our project meetings, advertised the <a title=\"Letchworth Arts Centre page for the 3D_lgc Competition.\" href=\"http:\/\/www.letchwortharts.org\/node\/963\" target=\"_blank\">Competition<\/a> and advised us on running it. Also we thank the LAC for providing a stall in a marquee for advertising\u00a0the Finale during the 1970s-1980s themed\u00a0<a title=\"Letchworth Arts Centre Festival 2012.\" href=\"http:\/\/www.letchwortharts.org\/node\/956\" target=\"_blank\">Festival<\/a> on 17th-18th November 2012.<\/li>\n<li><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.davids-bookshops.co.uk\" target=\"_blank\">David&#8217;s Music and Bookshops<\/a><\/strong> via proprietor\u00a0<strong>Paul Wallace<\/strong> has provided a public contact point and experienced advice on publicity. County Council's Locality Budget Scheme\" href=\"http:\/\/www.hertsdirect.org\/your-council\/councillors\/localitybudgetscheme\/\" target=\"_blank\">Hertfordshire County Council<\/a><\/strong> donated the full\u00a0<strong>\u00a3125<\/strong> needed to print our posters &amp; flyers for the final stage of the Competition.\u00a0<strong><a title=\"Councillor Keith Emsall's profile page\" href=\"http:\/\/www.hertsdirect.org\/your-council\/councillors\/ccandpan2\/othercomm\/investcomm\/17032353\/\" target=\"_blank\">Councillor Keith Emsall<\/a><\/strong> of Letchworth South division kindly responded at short notice with a grant from his Locality Budget, for the benefit of people in the whole of Letchworth. See our\u00a0<a title=\"New poster\" href=\"https:\/\/competition.letchworthfestival.org\/?p=1019\" target=\"_blank\">Blog<\/a> entry for the poster design for the final month of the Competition in October 2012.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">The total value of prizes was around \u00a3500.<\/span><\/strong><em> The value of funding for publicity, the use of facilities and the efforts being\u00a0donated by sponsors was higher, in excess of \u00a32,000.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>You can check the Rules\u00a0page <a title=\"Rules\" href=\"https:\/\/competition.letchworthfestival.org\/?page_id=17\">here<\/a>.
